CONTENTS Committee 2006 Alumni Reunion Rogues' Gallery Change of Address form The idea of an Alumni Association evolved from the NZSO's Golden Anniversary celebrations in 1996/7. For the first 50 years of the orchestra's life there was no formal vehicle for former orchestra members, resident conductors or staff to keep in touch with each other, or with the activities of the current NZSO. The establishment of the Alumni Association aims to bridge that gap. With our membership spread world-wide, and a committee of Wellington-based members who meet three or four times annually, communication until now has been limited to the publication of our twice-yearly newsletter, Coda, so for those with internet access, this website provides us with a more immediate forum. There is no doubt that the highlight of Alumni activities, to date, was the first reunion, in October 2001. The present committee has begun planning the next one, scheduled for October 2006 - coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the NZSO's first rehearsal.
